Simplicity of a forget-me-not

by StandStill   Apr 24, 2008

Cockle shells in the morning's glory
wither away to forget-me-nots
why is that Hell seems to be too cold..
but Heaven is far too hot?

Liquid silver puzzle pieces
hidden in the corner's of poet's mind
spilling forth into crimson
skin with ruby droplets lined

Oh, the simplicity of torture
how quickly we kill ourselves
please, just let me shove it all away
keep these lies upon those dusty shelves

But the clock is so merciless
screaming through the silence
reminding me, remind me..time's wasting
slipping away is this last chance

Forgiveness, how bittersweet
you have to fall before you break
Reader, I know i'm not good enough
but do you think you have what it takes?

These poor wasted words,
dimmly dying yet
yes, you know my name, my face
but so soon you will forget

    This is a sad write.

But the clock is so merciless
    screaming through the silence
    reminding me, remind me..time's wasting
slipping away is this last chance

I likes this stanza the best. The time waits for no one. So many times people wait till it it to late to change.

    Good job!
