I won't lay roses by your grave

by StandStill   Apr 24, 2008

Did you think that i would cry?
See the sky so cold and grey?
Well, my dear, you were wrong...
You left me here...just went away

You always promised to light the way
I'm thinking you must have forgot
Because I covered my eyes,
hide and seek...ready or not

You weren't there when I opened them
Counted for a little too long
I guess I learned something again
I'll always say SOMETHING wrong

But oops, there I go again
Feel lackluster in your wake
I love how you're not listening
To the sound of my heartache

Oh well, who cares?
You're dying alone
Thanks so much for leaving me here
Waiting by the phone..

And I won't cry, not one tear
I won't lay roses by your grave
I hate myself for letting you waste
That one last chance I gave

Trust breaks
Hearts ache
I don't want this back
By your grave, roses black

whispers on the wind....
