A victim pinned down against her will,
A survivor afraid to be held by those she loves.

A victim told all the things she's done wrong,
A survivor feeling as though she's never right.
Am I the victim or the survivor?
A victim's innocence taken away,
A survivor who can't gain it back.
Am I the victim or the survivor?
A victim hit, kicked, and punched,
A survivor who can't handle a friends gentle touch.
Am I the victim or the survivor?
A victim who could have died,
A survivor who wishes she had died.

I am not just one or the other,
I am both, I am a surviving victim.
