As i listen to the beat of my heart
to myself i sound dumb
but to others I'm smart
trying to find what direction i should go
as the Lord helps me and shows
me the way i thought i didn't know
actually it was in front of me all along
as Jesus told me to stay strong
knowing the path i choose wasn't wrong
God shut the window to open the door
in sight of weakness he gave me strength
in sight of sadness he gave me happiness
As i listen to the beat of my heart
you save me from hurting myself
and gave me a second chance to redeem myself
believe,trust, and have faith in myself
the devil drag me down and torn me apart
you lifted me up and glued
my broken shattered pieces together
now i know to always listen to the beat of my heart.
