In the Clutches Of Martha May

by Soulful Ensemble   Apr 24, 2008

"The sun went bye, bye", you say
AS it didn't want to stay.
Smokes of poisoned gas do fly away
From clouds, into the clutches of good Martha May.

Martha and her sister Bertha,
Round up all of the hearts they swayed.
But bertha isn't as ready as Martha
To pick up everything and run away
Right into the clutches of good Martha May.

And theres still quite a bit of time to cry
So don't feel bad for looking out into the bay.
The ocean hits and goes so far away to fly
Into the clutches of good Martha May.

Everyone who could've welcomed her
Is now trying to run so far away
Because they've heard of magic myrrhs that sway
Into the clutches of good Martha May.

He's dead, I know, but that's okay
Life will come to him some way.
He'll go to he'll they all say,
Into the clutches of good Martha May.

I'm going where the boats are rowing
And the sun is cast into the moon.
Where the sky is always purple, knowing
Theres plenty of time 'till noon.

And then I'll go stare into her eyes,
When the time comes down on me.
She'll try to have me but I
Know its time for breaking free.

Good Martha May is waiting on the tower's peak
Where the souls all hover and its real meek.
Many men go there to see their souls fly away
And right into the clutches of good Martha May.
