My Father Figure

by Sammerz   Apr 25, 2008

When i was younger
i always believed that
you were my biological father.

Everyday of my childhood you
were there always saying
hey kiddo how you doing.

Now wen people say that
i start to break down and cry
i miss those days
i miss hearing you say that.

Those days sitting
around the house
having burping contests.
Jus being plain out goofy.

When i reached my teen
years you were gone.
You moved didnt talk
to me or your son my brother.

After a few months you
called then we talked
for months then you
disappeared once again.

Months have passed by
and still no contact.
it hurts i didnt
kno my dad.

You filled that place
emotionally and physically
How could of i
known that you really
werent my father.

But i still call you dad
and say that
I love you

Beautiful poem, it unreavled like a true story. amazing work, truely i usually enjoy readin poems with rythme, becuase they usually tend to flow better, but your poems always seam to flow beautifullly together, even without the rthmyes. it makes this poem unquie and very well wirtten, keep up the great job------tara
