Somebody saved her..

by StandStill   Apr 25, 2008

Midnight ink stains,
beautiful ruby ink
so thick, but pure
pouring out of skin so pink

Sliced wrists
and subtle lies
watch her, Reader,
as she dies

One last night
yes, one last sob
before razor blades
finish their job

She lets go
closes her eyes
it's already over
she doesn't cry

So numb is she
and she slides down
a cooling fog
felt all around

Gone....

Sirens are wailing
the horizon is blue, red
is this Hell, Heaven?
is she dead?

"Beautiful girl,
I'll wipe your tears
Don't be afraid...
I'm here..."

Suddenly she's flying
and she's so confused
soft, white, linen smells
her arms feel so bruised

Wait! she felt something
and heard it ever clear
her heart upon a screen
heartbeat brings her to tears

She's alive
and she's in pain
but...she's breathing
safe again

Someone's friendly arms
thought to save a life
poor Razor blade angel
almost died in the jaws of a knife

But here she is
and eyes are wide
under bandages
wounds do hide

Fully awake
but the light is bright
she's sobbing now
remembering her night

And the sunrise filters in..
