The Journey
By davey

I can feel the storm coming but for you ill stand through the rain. As the waves crash over me my legs take hold to the ground and my arms open wide to grasp you with an eternal embrace. My heart skips a beat, its normal calm course of rhythm shattered like a drum. How I love when your hair is wet and you start to shiver, my arms your blanket of security. This world seems too perfect; surely the rain will turn to hail. My eyes meet yours and a bond is made, like the sun and the moon that together bring light to the world. These days are far from over, I promise a time will come when the storm will cease and the hindrance that binds our love is set free. This is not a fairy tale told from the lips of a child this is real, this is destiny. The sky will fall but one star will stand firm, detesting the mountains tall as the clouds placed before it. Our last hope for a better day will come glorious on a white stallion, his eyes like diamonds and his face like fire, shining bright blinding all who fight against us. We knew all along yet our fragile minds and youthful lust set us back a thousand miles with nothing but the clothes on our backs and memory of the love we used to have. With little faith the journey would be endless, the road would run an eternal path leading only to destruction, and we would have no hope. The sun would run from the darkness, the moon from the light. The bond would be broken. But the man on the white stallion came and took us away riding like the wind in grand fashion. The days of the storm were over; our efforts were finally laid to rest with peace and conscious that the evil of the world conquered no more. No longer am I a man of the earth but a man of salvation. No longer are we facing giants but facing ourselves. We are the only thing that can hold us back; we broke the chains that were placed on our hands and feet, binding us to the ground like a criminal mulling over how to set himself free. This was not who we were, we were the wrongly prosecuted, the unjustly convicted, we were the beggar you see lying on the side of the road with not a single passerby glancing in his direction. Living in a world colder than ice on the moon, colder than the eyes of a killer, we led ourselves to trust the world as our guidance. Our friends were our examples, leading us into things formerly unknown. Lives were lost in the midst of the crowd, who are to say they are different? This world is all the same. Children will be children, adults will be adults. The customary cycle of deception and abuse will continue on until the sky falls and only one star stands firm. For all who say they will change the world, your efforts at haste. The pain you will endure, the war between your mind and your conscience, the hatred and sin against you, all will rage on until the end of time. The time will come like a thief in the night, stealing the souls of all who stood by their faith. Do not give in to your mind. Do not surrender to the constant torrent of corruptive trickery made by those whom call themselves the righteous. This is my cry to you from atop the mountain from which I climbed. My earthly love led me here but my heavenly savior lifted me upon the ground. From here the storm is below us. The world we conquered with a sword, slain like a dragon by a knight, yet the glory goes not to us, but to the man on the white stallion. He calls himself the redeemer, the Jehovah, the last omega. He is the beginning and the end. Although we stand as an example to the world, down the mountain and through the clouds we would fall without our foundation. And the storm would be amongst us again, furious with rage like a champion defeated by his own arrogance. The rain would pour and the wind would soar. To never cease until the journey is complete, our journey. Luckily our lives have changed. The soil beneath us is strong as the rocks beside it. This is our destiny, my love. After all the years that have passed the sky has remained the same. My love to you spelled out in the stars, it says Id never leave. Now you see, take my hand and we will walk these last few miles, together. For so long we have walked alone, with solemn shadows our only company. We watched time go by, pretending like our lives were the same, that our hearts were whole, that we would find ourselves again. The lies merely alleviated reality. If justice was my fortune Id have been holding you long ago. But this is how our wheel of life has played out. Struggle and adversity, the words to describe our endurance. Two words behind us, never to strike us again. We have covered the volume of a country. We have fought the war of a century. This was not a fairy tale, this was real, this was destiny. Now take my hand and we will climb this mountain. Forever we will tell our story, of our faith in the future, of the man on the white stallion who saved us from a hopeless demise, of our journey. Forever, my love, we shall stand together

Every single word in this has meaning.

I wrote this, because I believe one day, someday, all this waiting, how weve forced ourselves from eachother because its better the both of us, will come to an end one day. I hope, i know it will.

And everytime i read those words i fall in love with u all over again. its such an explicit detail of what we both feel. I forget I'm not alone...I read your poems and I find comfort in them. I'll take your hand and be apart of you forever...just not now baby. I cant. I want to but I just cant. One day I know you'll understand, for now I just pray God leads you in the right direction. I'm yours always.
