What life is this?
Alone beside myself
My thoughts and shadows
To keep me company
Too jaded to love
Broken and bent
Mended too many times
To ever be whole again
Love evades me
It teases me, crushes me
Heartless with no emotion
But spite and envy
Of those who love
And are loved
Even if only in blissful
Ignorance
Like rain that drips
On window sills
My heart it bleeds still
Slowly, quietly, softly dying
To whatever end
I run blindly towards
My Death, sweet death awaits
It is She I will embrace
