My secret helps me sleep at night
And gives the darkness a bright light
It makes me smile and sing a song
Just by thinking about it all day long

I have a secret that also makes me sad
For with guilt I know what I did was bad
But drowning it out with a happy thought
Where a frown shan't never be caught

I would tell you my secret you see
But the only one to know it is me
And if I told you, you gotta admit
It wouldn't be a secret now would it?
