Snow Flake Sonnet

by Scott E Buttross   May 26, 2004

This world, it all seems foreign to me
And as each day therein passes me by
Memories past experience yet be
And only I will see through thine own eye

Only a person among the others
With knowledge from generations erstwhile
And here I subsist with all my brothers
My own importance, wrought of denial

My soul a flake in a blizzard of snow
Lost in a deep white cloud with all the rest
And blown along a path I do not know
