Desire

by Orchid Man   Apr 26, 2008

Kaleidoscopes of raindrops trickle slowly down the cold window
Their ever changing patterns aided by a blustery Southern wind
Beyond the sodden windows; trees bend their branches in unison
Like ballet dancers performing Shakespeare for your gazing green eyes.

My dearest Orchid Lady even Nature itself is drawn to your beauty
Attempting to steal my private moments when I need you for my very own
Yet rain and wind - two lone suitors, can never replace my arms that enfold you
Nor will they ever whisper my coaxing words of love into your ears.

Like the bond Savannah fauna zealously impress upon their offspring
We blend ourselves in ways our bodies unselfishly ignite desires into our unions
My love, there is no greater vision than to watch your eyes display true rapture.......
as you draw me closer to charms sculptured for you by Heavenly artistry.

Your softness of body cannot be matched by the finest of lavish 'Down'
As I gently return a wisp of fallen hair to those golden locks caressing your head
You smile at me in your loving way captivating my every desire.......
lady of my every dream; you are the lifeblood flowing through my heart.

How could a poet ever hope to capture your charms with words of failure?
A hand-held quill would quench all ink before a single word would fully describe you
Sweetheart it is not an inward jealousy defending your exquisiteness of personal beauty
Indeed the knowledge we share throughout the years portrays your uniqueness.

In fairness to all; beauty adorns our world as many lovers embrace chosen ones
But here my need is to live with the one woman who shares my every daily dream
Orchid Lady, known only to you and me, the highs and lows of our lives together.......
had been charted with God's blessing when he lovingly sent you to be my earth angel.

I love you
