open the gates of the womb
permit freedom the baby in its tomb
open the eyes of the blind
permit sight to be that kind
heal the fingers of the leper
permit him to write a letter
free the speech of the dumb
permit his lips be no more numb
open the ears of the deaf
permit him the cries of the earth
let the cripple run
permit his legs that fun
give wisdom to the mental
permit his reasoning instrumental
give a heart to the wicked
permit kindness paint him stupid
free the soul of the dying
permit his body no more crying
