Cruel Words

** Sometimes 'love' is just an invitation for people to abuse and hurt. **

Realize that when you call me a hoe,
Notice how I just leave,
I can’t stand the things you say,
I hate the way you’re treating me!

You tell me things I don’t need to hear,
And oh, they really hurt,
And just when I think things will be okay,
You always make them worse!

I try and tell myself I’ll be alright,
But I never hear what I say,
And you’re too blind to notice at all,
How I’m fading every day,

Who is it you think you are,
To be able to be so cruel?
Is it really so necessary for you,
To make me feel a fool?

You seem to think it’s funny,
When I wind up in tears,
On my floor, hard to breathe,
And screams that no one hears,

Why must you think that it’s okay,
To hurt me like you do?
What happened to the one I loved,
I said what happened to you?

All of this pain and all of this abuse,
This torture I just can’t take,
I can’t hold on too much longer,
My rope is sure to break.
