You have beautiful eyes full of life
Always a smile even when
There is a lot of pain
And when the rain
Softly falls down
Each rain drop is a symphony of sound
Of tender thoughts and special smiles.
And sometimes, you have to choose a song
When the choosing isn't easy.
Life is full of choices
The challenges of life;
An endless roller coaster between happiness and sorrow;
Constant ups and downs of daily strife.
A sigh, a frown, crying soft saddened tears
And your tears are far from your smile.
With all that is aching inside you
A kind of familiar loneliness
That you’re acquainted with,
Yet, we must take control of our actions today
Remembering, the good times will outnumber the bad
For no matter the path you choose to take
We can dance away the pain
And write poems
Even when tears cloud your eyes as pen meets paper
Don't hide the glow within you
Because you are an intelligent, sensible, affectionate
And a sympathetic person
With exquisite beauty
You can share the love of God
So when I would look up into your eyes
And see all the love
Warmth and happiness
That somehow often eludes you
You will not fear to live or love,
Because you know life is not exempt from pain.
