Walls Going Up

When i have a wall around me
It's to remain safe from pain

I've been told that
the walls i have built around myself
should come down

A few weeks ago those walls
started to come down for you
cuz i began trusting you

Then that night happened and
those walls went back up
higher then before

I feel like remaining on the side
where i know I'm safe
from the hurt of others

One of those others
should not be you
my own father
