Holy Union

by Michael D Nalley   Apr 27, 2008

"He who is not with Me is against Me;
and he who does not gather with Me, scatters"
It is the truth that shall set us free
And the way the truth and the life is what matters

If the whole truth is in my heart
What can be gained by a wicked lie?
Where I am welcome I won't depart
Who I am with I would not dare deny

Every day we must make a choice
To commit to God or the other side
Our conscience is that inner voice
That can be a most worthy guide

    I enjoyed your words even though I normally refrain from religious themes it was well done. I was wondering if in the first stanza last line you meant "of the Truth"? I felt it read better that way to me. I appreciated your knowledgeable comments on my words"Marriage A&B"..been there, done that, but no T-shirt.
