Lost Love

by Sora   Apr 27, 2008

Long dark brown hair,
A vail with white flowers placed upon her head,
Down the aisle he watched lead.

Silk laced gown,
The love they've finally found.
Black tux with a bow tie,
But sometimes love can turn into a lie.

But the photo proved tight hands clasped together,
They once loved each other.
Both set of eyes so engaged on inner thoughts,
She can't believe the love they've lost.

Nineteen years years seems like a mistake,
They seperated for their own sakes.
Never thought of their daughters fears,
Or how many tears, all three would soon shed.
I guess this means some things are better left unsaid.

I wrote this poem last year. It is about the seperation of my parents. And while I wrote this I was gazing at their wedding photo.

Wow... it's sad but I admired what you wrote right there... great expressions and it does rhyme... loved it... Well, sometimes we gotta look for the bright side of the things that we didn't like to happen... Just take it as a lesson when you get married someday.. 5/5-) keep it up Ashley... you're a great girl...
