Luanne Wow! Wonderful piece. the imagery and thought put into this are great.

Into dreams they cast their spell
    shadows follow the walking shell
sorrow hides in this pretender's grin
    shackled thoughts confined within
[I know now] how to conceal tears

We learn to do this pretty well. Make others believe all is Ok. Hiding from our pain and sorrow. Painting on the fake grin.

A frozen heart sings no tune
    shattered pieces forever strewn
    sunlight wakes upon the eyes
never to be blinded again by lies
[I know now] a liar has many faces

What a sad lesson to have to learn. When the inocent way we look on life is shattered. The trust we have is broken. Heart breaking stanza.

    Endless questions weaken the mind
searching for answers we never find
who, when, where, why and how
the torture continues only if I allow
[I know now] some questions we don't
    want ... answered

These lines are so true Luanne there are somethnigs better not to know.

    Excellent piece.

    Luanne,

This, This was absoloutely beautiful. I can express how much I have adored this piece of poetry. You touch my heart endlessly with your work and this was yet another time you whisked emotion into my soul.

The ending lines of each stanza really grasped onto my heart portraying so much saddness. You really know how to create beauty, wether it be a love poem, or a sad poem. Either way they are gorgeous.

Thankyou for sharing a piece I can relate too. At times random thoughts run through my mind, Though I can never express them how I want to you can.

    An enchanting poem.

    Luanne,

Your poems often have a very deep meaning and so much truth in them. I too always wanted aswers to my questions...no I know it would have been much better just to go with the flow and not always try to get to the bottom of things:(
Very beautiful poem by you, sweetheart!
