Frozen in time

by Ganga Maya Rizal   Apr 28, 2008

At last the spring blew
In the winds,
The roses opened,
The birds fluttered,

The brooks flowed,
The unturned pages
Turned on.

The lines were hot
Red and romantic.
She gleamed in joy,
The princess of unknown land

One day the prince came
And held her hand
In his palm and
Promised not to leave.

And the whole day was but a bless.
Then he left for the night was dark.
He left her with an unending kiss.

There she waits,
Frozen in Time
Young and live
Cold as ice
Red as blood
Lost as cloud,

In a hope that some day
The prince would come
With red roses in his hands
And a longing kiss in his heart.
