Off a Building

by Gabba Gabba Hey   Apr 28, 2008

I threw myself at you
from atop the highest building
that I could find
you intoxicated me with your breath
that breath of pure alcohol

I was confused, I know
about how much I had to lose
and about how much
I really, really
meant to you

When I fell, you weren't there
you lazed in your home
sipping your tea
drinking away my faults
and forgetting my voice

When I hit the ground
I barely could tell
the difference between air and earth
your affect has that
your bearing on my mind tricks me

How can you forget me?
How could I mean so little?
Do you not see my love...
do you not see me?
How could you forget, some one

Who fell off a building for you?
