Just Beneath Heaven

by Cooper   Apr 28, 2008

In fields of dried and twisted trees
my memories reflected on the leaves,
I dare to dream;

to dance silently while laying, sleeping
beside her and her skin; the blue skies,
the sun
like the angels of a warm summer day.

And if she bled hope,
and would burn the fields with passion,
of mine and mine only,
like a delicate Rose bearing lilacs...

it would be our lips together,
and her breath in mine,
until twilight or even death come
to rot away this field of wonder...

I'd take her back to Heaven, paused in time,
and cup her tears and drink them
to keep my heart beating.

Amazing job, the fouth stanza was my favourite.
Your choice of wording used is excelltent and it had a pretty good flow.
