2007 hit like a shot,
not exactly coming to alot,
then a stop, a bump in the road,
my emotions began to show,

mother became ill,
it was beginning to kill,
a loss of life,
my dads wife,

results on waiting,
anticipating,
not knowing
where this year was goin,

cancer struck,
like a guitar pluck,
bad timing, just bad luck,
i started to cry and say the word f...

tears were shed,
many got closer or fled,
times got tough
i began to have enough,

seasons pass, times flies,
many watching eyes,
spring is here,
with a loss of fear,
as all is now well
that was my story to tell.
