Through this blade i've set you free

by she   Apr 29, 2008

Do you see how much I love you?
Do you see how sorry I am I've hurt you?
Did you EVER see how hard I tried to be something other than worthless in your eyes?
Do you see how much I love you?
Do you see how badly I want to be a daughter actually worthy of love?!
Do you see I'm tired of hurting you?
Do you see,
I've finally got it,
I know how to make you proud!
By ridding you of myself,
So I'll slice my wrists,
and leave a note that reads like this:
now you can live a life without me,
Through this blade,
I've set you free.

Wow...that was tragic. Wonderfully written, though. The emotion was just burning through the entire poem...making it hard NOT to understand what you're telling the person.Wonderful job:)

I feel like this sometimes, like the only way to make everyone happy is to not be here to make them sad, "Did you EVER see how hard I tried to be something other than worthless in your eyes?" I love this line, great poem 5/5
