I am the beat

The beat of the music
is impulsing in my head
I shut my eyes and go back to bed

the drums are my hear beat
and the guitar is my face
the harmonica is my soul
but who'll keep the pace

the master of the band
Is gone down the drain
the beat is all off
and I feel so vain

The music is crashing
just skips off the sheets
the notes run wild
without to many beats

My life is ending
I just want one last thing
please baby don't be sad of this thing
I am the music, and the music is me
and now that your gone, its set me free

    Nicely written... I like the metaphors you have used...but in some parts the rhyme is little off... otherwise its a good poem.. the descriptions is also wonderful..

    I think the structure is a little off because it's obvious your rhyming in it, but sometimes it's three lines in a stanza or sometimes more. So I think that needs improvements. I like the general idea, and your last lines were my fav. Just work on your structure a little bit.
