Once upon a time there was a man named Guy
Every night he would stand and stare deep into the sky.
Hoping to catch his love of his life when God dropped her from the heavens above.
His best friend Brittany repeatedly told him to look elsewhere for love.

He would cry at night and call his friend
She would comfort him and tell him they would be friends to the end.
Never did he once give up.
Night after night he would go to that exact spot.
Standing in hope that she would come.

Time went by and never once did she come.
He grew old and weary and no longer could he stand.
He developed a form of cancer in his knees.
He told his best friend and she was beside him quicker than an ocean breeze.

She was there day after day, night after night.
Never did she let him out of his sight.
She went home to gather some clothes planning to stay the night.
When she returned the doctor told her that the cancer had begun to spread

Cutting the doctors explanation short she ran to his room only to find an empty bed.
A blast of pain hit the friend in the chest.
At that moment she knew he was dead.
She kneeled down and prayed to God for his soul to forever rest.

As the man reached the golden gates there stood God.
He walked up to him and asked a simple question.
"God why didn't you ever send me someone to love?"
God smiled at the man and said

"I did and she was as pure as the whitest dove.
Never did you notice her beauty
Only because you were blind and never chose to open your eyes and see.
She was there beside you through thick and thin.
