Eros Had One Arrow (part 1- my view)

by Curing the Comon Cliche   Apr 30, 2008

You ask me what I dreamt last night
I don't know if you should know
The ending so twisted to reflect real life
New ending of my dream three nights ago

Why even read this poem?
You already know it's just a dream
No twist ending here my friend
Things are only how they seem

I was back inside the dance hall
Too familiar now, I guess
I look around for you in this dream
Find you in this one like all the rest

Well this is MY dream
Why can't I make my false thoughts true?
I walk across this dance floor
I want to be with you

I was making my way through dancing loves
When you look my way
I stop dead where i stand
Your eyes scream what you want to say

Eros is Roman form of Cupid. Sappho the poet summarized Eros as being bitter sweet, and cruel to his victims, yet he was also charming and very beautiful.

^ this is ridiculously relatable, i hate it...((put a comma after here, noun of direct address)) it's so bitter..so realistic.
