You Saved Me

I curl up naked in my white bath tub
My body thing and bony
Trembling from the cold
I clutch a single razor blade in my fist
Something bad was going to happen
A darkness beyond darkness
A buried box filled with bad memories
The blade, so slender and the light in my hand
The feel of its edge kissing my wrist
The warm sensation of red blood lining my skin
The phone rang
I rouse up and answered it
"I Love You" were the 3 words
That saved my life.
