Spanish Waltz

by Weeping Wolf   Apr 30, 2008

The dimly lit room makes way for 2 angry lovers...
and Spanish guitar begins to serenade a waltz
They take hands and dance...

Man:
Tell me before I waltz out of your heart,
was this just your satisfaction of passion?

Woman:
Tell me before I disappear into the night
Who were you to block out the daylight
with your dark Spanish eyes?

Both:
There is no remorse
For a greedy lover
There is no satisfaction
In hurting one another
when everything ends like a sunset..

Man:
Tell me before I ride off into the sunset
Was there ever any love for me in you heart?

Woman:
Tell me before you jump onto your high horse
Did you think my promise was just another seduction?

Both:
There is no remorse
For a greedy lover
There is no satisfaction
In hurting one another
when everything ends like a sunset..

Men:
Your dance of seduction can no longer hold me
I will seek out worthier women who will
give me no mysteries- but instead love me!

Woman:
Allow me to release you then,
and run off to your *hores
who have no idea of what love is
and leave you to your miseries
of instability and accusations-
But do not leave your hate here, mi amor,
So get out! and stay out! Is that clear, Mi amor?

And as he throws her to the floor,
all her radiant and dominating words
are flung away as she weeps bitterly
he shouts in pain and runs into the dark.
