A word for the broken

by Lacie   Apr 30, 2008

Sometimes you think your falling,
To where the departed go.
Sometimes you feel helpless,
Like there so much left to know.

But as a child they told you,
Not to fear your death,
So you built your life upon,
The words that they have left.

The youngest in your family,
The first that will die,
They told you all your life, they loved you,
But now its just a lie.

You don't know how to feel,
You can breath a fainting pace,
You slip inside your dieing mind,
You slowly slip away.

Your family says there sad your gone,
But when the people leave,
There smiles brightened,
And you can plainly see.

They could have lived without you,
Your death was but a joy,
They know your six feet under,
Your life was but a toy.

They held you in there fingers,
Let you slip away,
Let you dance upon the strings,
While the happy songs they play.

They know that you are gone,
They are fully aware,
There are overjoyed with death,
The one who's fallen, the very best.

They thought you were nothing,
But little did they know,
You never died a death,
You just simple let them go.

I totally get this, it's beautiful i kno exactly how this feels. my own personal interpretation is that its the view of a young persons suicide and how they see, or think the reaction to their suicide would be, that nobody would care. That no1 cared when u were alive, so u decided to forget them. idk maybe im wrong, if i am write me back i'd love to kno what it means from the person who wrote this

    great poem!
