The silence remains.

Pain consumes my lonely heart,
tears pour down this face of mine,
i'm swirling down through this thing called life,
im losing my grip and falling in time.
i'm losing the only one i need,
i'm dying from the pain i recieve,
he tries so hard ot notice,
but he can't and thats my peeve.

age continues on,
and the years we spend together continue,
but he still can't see what i want,
every time i say"i love you".
can't he see the pain i feel,
can't he hear the screams i scream,
i wish i didn't have to close my eyes,
so i wouldn't have to hurt from a dream.

me and him,him and me,
thats how the stories meant to be,
but some how he is blind,
because this story he can't see.
the tremble in her voice,
when he asked if she was okay,
she couldn't even talk,
she didn't even want to stay.

afraid and filled with pain,
crying and so dead inside,
doesn't he even know,
he's taken away what was left of her pride?
the pain he brings to her,
is unable to be spoken,
the silent that grows between them,
is hardly ever broken.

so he goes on as if she's hurting him,
when really he's murdered her soul,
there's nothing he can do to save her now,
because of him she's lost control.
the holding of the knife comes natural now,
the screams she yells gets locked away,
the leash she let him hold on her,
has broken an now she walks astray.

it was her birthday and cake time was up,
the candles were lit and what did she do?
she wasted her one wish away,
because what she wished was to be with you.
she was tired of seeing you flirt with others,
so she made a wish hoping god would make it come true,
but by 11 11 at night,
she still wasnt with you.

her hearts now broken but she fakes an okay,
she pushes a smile and you still don't know,
some how deep inside she knows,
she knows she has to let you go.
the days will pass and she must let you go,
be your friend and nothing more,
because she couldn't take this pain,
when her heart was already sore.

behind her beautiful eyes a secret remains,
a knife will sleep in her bed,
and one of these days,
the morning will come and she'll be dead.
the phone in her hand,
his words still running through her brain,
and when they find hte note,
he'll see his name and right under it it'll say "i couldn't take the pain"..
