This pain has no gain

An overwhelming pain in my own heart,
Has broken me again.
Insanity has taken the lead
While memories no longer remain.
Clouded judgment overcomes
A person who’s far from sane.
Emptied out the closet of dreams,
Taken away the sun and left showers of rain.
A vacant heart blocked by confusion
No chance for it ever to regain.
Agonizing sadness that disconnects,
Leaving a permanent stain.
This life has no meaning now
And there’s nothing more to gain.
