This poem came from deep down in the pit of my soul, where there is pain, physical empty pain, that I can not explain. Mariah was my 2nd daughter. I failed her big time... I wrote another one. I am in awe of this beautiful yet saddening poem. I too have lost a child. Though he was my stepchild, the loss was great. I can only sympathize with your heartbreak. As for the poem perspective you have a very nice style.
