The gamble

by speculative_scene   May 1, 2008

Ask me no more questions
Tell me no more lies
Abody lying crippled
It withers and it dies
It takes one breath of morbid fear
And turns its head in shame
It stare so quiet in rotting thought
That life's too whole too blame
So take another poison drop
It spills through out your veins
One last slice in desperate hope
That you'll be consumed by all the stains
You realize, stupefied,
On your last free-willing glance
That maybe life was worth it
To give it one more chance
But time is up
Your clock runs out
And your too far to turn around
Too late to realize just what life's about
So die young friend
In motionless regret
And think about what could've been
If you hadn't have placed that bet
