You suffer and suffer
From burdens,
Pain and emptiness
All of your life
But for what?
The thought that when we die-
That's it, it's over
There's nothing more,
You're gone forever,
You've become nothing.
All that's left of you
Is a photograph in a frame
And a distant memory
Left in the hearts,
Of the ones you left behind.
I just can't believe that's it,
It just makes life seem so pointless.
I've got to believe,
That there's a reason,
That there's more beyond this life.
Like when our body dies,
Our spirit lives on,
Free from the burdens and pain
We carried in the life,
That we had on earth.
Our spirit goes to a special place
Like heaven, high above the clouds,
Where we will meet all our loved ones
And there we will stay together
But this time it will be for eternity.
