Just a memory?

by Trying to hold on   May 1, 2008

Are you just a memory?
Or did you never really exist
Another hallucination
Continuing to persist

If you never walked this ground
There was no suicide goodbye
Figment of the imagination
You would never have had to die

If you lived, if you were real
And deprsession defeated you
Hurting I'd understand why you left
But still wish you'd made it through

Whether you're just a memory
Wish, dream or hallucination
I'm here suffering, walking
Your brave smile as my inspiration.

My oh my darling- you have such talent. That's a beautiful poem, and I'm sorry for your loss, I love the last line, it makes the whole poem shine even brighter, but not in a happy way which is great for this type. Great job, I love this poem.
