Him...why him.

by Kelli   May 1, 2008

Walking down the street.
Hand and hand with me you walk
My true love,
Soul mate.

He drove up slowly,
In that Black SUV.
Stopped quickly,
got out and looked around.

Nobody about except you and me.
Took off his shades and looked me straight in the eye.
Told me to run.
Pulled out a gun.
I was stunned.
I could not run, and leave him behind.
I loved him.

He screamed louder to run.
but this time it was not the man with the gun.
It was my one true love.

I was too shocked to say,no, or think anything.
I closed my eyes as the gun pulled up to my head.
I felt myself slam to the cement.
I felt nothing.
I felt unhurt.
Still my eyes were closed, laying on the ground.

I heard wheels on the car squeal away.
I looked up afraid of what i would find.
breathless i saw my one true love, my soul mate laying dead with a bullet in his head.
Screaming there as the police rushed by, everything a blur from there.
I could not bear.
What i had seen that fate full day.
