How I Got Here

To me this poem is all right. It's not my favorite. A friend told me to write so I came up with how we met and our friendship basically. So, here ya go.

Want to know why I'm rapping? How I got up here?
Well, here's a little story and it's all sincere.

So, I met this guy on some poetry site.
First I didn't like him. Now we're pretty tight.

He joined a rapping contest and I critiqued his rap.
I guess he didn't like it cause I got a B slap.

He realized later I didn't mean to get him mad.
Just wanted to improve him so he wouldn't look bad.

He got in a fight and I tried to calm him down.
Ever since that day I have always been aroun'.

I listened to his problems and tried to help him out
I told him how I used to be and what life's about.

Now we talk to each other almost everyday.
To think I didn't like him. Now I want him to stay.

After a while he trusted me more.
Revealed the lies he had told me before.

Said he has a kid, that the mom went away.
Luckily he was brave; decided stay.

I didn't flip out so he knew he could trust me.
I said there aren't bad guys. People are all I see.

He started to write more raps and had a lust for fame.
He told me to help him write and to think of a name.

Organized Chaos was the title I suggested.
I guess he liked it. In that title he invested.

Thought he was solo. Then he said him AND.
All I could think was whoa I'm in a band!

So now we're working together in our rap group.
That is how I came to this. Now you have the scoop.

The guy? What about him? Who is this?
