Do you remember when
what feels like forever ago...
back when you used to be a person-
one of those people i used to know?

How we stitched together
those beautiful fabrics of times
God, it feels so long ago
that was before my poems used to rhyme...

That was that little land of makebelieve
that we created just for my mind
back when those ugly words of yours
used to be oh so kind

I remember

I remember when I gave you candy hearts
but now all the sayings have disappeared
"kiss me" wouldn't matter
not to you, my dear

Too bad fabric wears away
in the ripples time creates
it's funny, really, how love songs
turn to melodic hate
