Your daughters dead heart

by she   May 2, 2008

Your words cut through me like knives, only these shatter the soul,
I can feel my insides bleeding, as you sit there not seeming to know that you have hurt me at all
They talk so greatly of a mothers love, but I guess I don't deserve that, I guess I'm not enough
What did I do, tell me will I ever be worthy of your love
Do you see my barely beating heart that lays on the ground before you
Do you see it, do you see the inserts from the knives at it you have thrown
Do you see my heart as it begins to beat faster,
Trying to get your attention, trying to show that it's in dire need of repair!
Please look back, do you see what you have missed,
Oh, well, it's to late now
Mommy it was your daughters dead heart,
That you walked upon, back there,
It was your daughters screams,
That you chose not to hear,
oh well
too late
your daughters now dead,
and you're to blame

[my heart is dead]
