Shades of Wings

by Michael   May 2, 2008

Close eyes and dream away;
Twilight offers an oceanic cry,
where wings are reborn,
and the smiling moon greets you,
once again.

Passion sails,
harm drifts,
daylight's armor sheds,
evening skin breaths peacefully.

Hanging windows vanish
behind clouds of curtains,
ocean's silk glides through gaps of fingers,
slowly trying to grasp.

Lazy steering,
jet stream guiding,
a bed floats in the skylights,
letting masks drown to the floor.

Twinkling with hopes and laughter,
not even the sea of stars,
fulfills the emotion for eternity.

Another poem I submitted for another contest... and did not win again. Oh well; that's life, right?

This poem also is kinda confusing, since it's based on a dream of floating on an ocean on my bed. I guess it kinda depicts being lost and cannot reach farther, even when I see it. Please rate, comment and enjoy!
