Ill Lives

by FireCM   May 2, 2008

Dropping and falling fast,
Caught in a whirlwind battle
Where no joy can ever last,
Where everyone has sinned
And gone broken in shame.
Clinging to invisibility
With no one who can blame.
Can you hear them?
All screaming on cue,
They hold out blood stained hands
Knowing there’s nothing they can do.
Tears fall not feigned,
Daggers from their faces.
They are the ill lives,
The frayed and undone laces.
Calling an out of tune trill,
Their lost and damaged souls
Rage on in desperation and fear
Wondering when the last bell tolls
In their hour glass of sand.
