Jeremy(consumed by lies)

by Jennifer RIP Lesthat Hayden   May 3, 2008

Jeremy thinks about his day at night while lying in bed.
He thinks about the lies he told and who he told them to.
Doesn't care of who he lied to or even what he said.
Every lie he tells is permanent like a tattoo.

The lies started piling up in his room.
They piled higher and higher each night.
His sleeping body they began to consume.
He clawed and yelled, but couldn't win the fight.

One day he got in trouble and tried to be an honest man.
Admitted to all his lies and covered up with more!
No one wanted to help him out with all the shit he began.
The guy ended up in a hole deeper than before.

He walked in court escorted out;a cop on each side.
Charged guilty of a murder he didn't commit.
This never would have happened if he wouldn't have lied.
Drowned in his own lies because he wasn't legit.

So forty years later he became an honest guy.
Apologized to his friends for trying to look good.
Promised himself he would never tell another lie.
A few of them he lost. Luckily some understood.

Late at night Jeremy woke up and knew it was all a dream.
He still had time to save himself before he lost control.
Saw what he was doing with his life and took back his regime.
Later that year he did it. He climbed right out of that hole.
