God once told me
as I slept
so many truths
I awoke and wept
he’d robbed me of my ideals kept

the meaning of life?
I quickly asked him
he simply smiled and shrugged

I felt my morals mugged

I said politely
frowning in confusion
“ live by your own law
listen to your soul
the rest is all illusion “

“ FAITH!! “ I cried in desperation

have faith in your grace
and all the glory of Heaven
will shine in your face “
