how is it?

how is it that with a couple of words
you make me fall for you all over again?
that with just a little innocent smile
my body melts with the yearning of you?

how is it that just with a simple look
you can make me do anything for you?
that without any encouragement of sorts
i would do anything to see you happy

how is it that i give you so much attention
yet you take me for granted all the time?
you think i will always be there for you
and the sad thing is that i will always be here

how is it that when you look at other girls
a part of me breaks inside each and every time?
that you act like it was my fault all along
and i should be glad that you love me at all

how is it that you break me and make me whole
at the same exact time each and every day?
that you make me hate you and love you
with every breath i take in when you are near

how is it that you make me promise things
to never trust and love you anymore?
but you break me down with a few words
and i fall for you all over again.
