missing you

god took you away from me
when he knew that i loved you
it hurts to think about you
and be happy at the same time
it hurts to smile at times
when i know you aren't here
i can't keep living this way
when you aren't here with me
and the worst thing is
i'm starting to forget you
i feel guilty for doing that
i can't remember your smile
the way your eyes shone
with a hint of mischief
the boyish smile you smiled
the way when you said
those three little words...
...i love you....
that had a hint of seriousness
and at the exact same time
be filled with love for me
i'm forgetting the times
when we would dance in the rain
have picnics by the lake
sing our silliness to the world
it hurts me when i'm happy
that at the same time
i shouldn't be experiencing this
without you by my side
i wish i was with you right now
to feel you hold me close
the way you would kiss me
so soft, so tender, so gentle
the way you would touch me
making me feel completely whole
i'm scared that you will leave me
that i can't remember you anymore
i'm not ready for that
i don't think i will ever be
