This was so beautiful. It's like an old tale of lost love and longing for what was once belonging to you.

I particularly enjoyed the style of this poem. The beginning was so organised and structured; which could possibly represent the love that was once so strong and beautiful. The poem then changed so it was fragmented, broken, which obviously represents the fact the love has been lost and Elisabetta is no long around.

    Truly a beautiful piece.

Another amazing write. Phantom of the Opera is one of my favorite movies, and I can definitely see how you got the inspiration to write this poem. It was so personal, and I'm sure any girl would love to have a poem written for her like this, or by you in general. You are a fantastic writer. Favorite line in this poem:

"Soft gentle smiles never left me,
    Words can't describe this feeling."

Reading your descriptions of Liz make me wish I had been around to meet her; she sounds like an amazing person.

Beautiful. I've read and re-read so many times just letting each word sink in, such a graceful and elegant song, I read it slowly, like its sung in pain, love is clear in the words, expressing such loss and hurt. Very well written, so much effort to make it right, and it is. Was a pleasure to read.

This song sounds like it would be sung with an acoustic guitar playing along. I loved your use of metaphors. However I didn't feel like I felt a message being brought across...then again...maybe there wasn't a message that I was supposed to get. Anyways..I think my favorite stanza was:

Dreams I once dreamt of an angel,
    Beautiful as one' can name.
    Her soft tender voice whispered,
    "Love's what we became."

I just felt so much when I read it that it became my favorite =-]

I completely understood this poem! I love phantom of the opera and this poem did angel of music justice the way you describe the woman in this poem as an angel as if she were in a dream and then you awake with tears because you realize that dream was not your reality. I think it makes sense as a song and as a poem and really loved your choice of words to fescribe every second and I fell lik it realy told a story and it did remind me of phantom of the opera and I think it told a beautiful story so you get a 5/5 from me.

    Enjoyed reading this one.
The reader can feel the emotions of love, sadness & longing for someone who is gone. I regret you the experience but you have turned it into something beautiful.
And YES I was singing as I read it :)
    Nicely penned.
