Just Another Cloudy Day

You were in my dreams today,
as I sat by and watched the world.
The sky was grey and no birds flew.
And all the while I thought of you.
Wind in your hair, atop a castle.
Holding there, watching life as I was.
One giant eclipsing the sun.
You watched the epic battle atop your castle.
The mighty sun against this gargantuan.
The beast held for hours, then the sun broke through.
The day was won.
When I awoke the rain had stopped.
The battle was won.
And the day ahead,
had just begun.
