THE DEVELOPING YEARS

JUNE 25th 1989#17

Our children is sure to be ,
The best , and worse, part of me!
They only see, what we let them see
They become, what we teach them to be!

With open eyes, and open ears,
They learn so quick, in their developing years!
They see the good, they see the bad,
Whatever is done by mom and dad!

Impressions that last, throughout their life,
Can taste so sweet, or cut like A knife!
They only know , of what we teach,
Part of each day , remains in each!

Yesterday , has long since past,
But values we teach will last, and last!
They need love , and guidance to stay drug free,
What type of parent will you choose to be ?

    Hello Jim,
This is Chinwe's mother, Rosemary and I love this poem as we all need to watch are children grow and bring them up right, these children are God's blessings and they were brought on earth, to be taught,to love and to be shown Tender Loving Care to. If only our children always knew even at the hard times we love them so much and would risk anything for them. Thank-you,Jim, for such an inspiring poem.

Even the littlest of things affect our children for ever. You're a great man to see this. But at times things done are often misunderstood by kids and they don't get it till later in life.
    Good job my friend
