Sunny, warm and bright
Heavens promise of a beautiful day
And a possibly hint of a summer’s night.
Nightingales sing merrily and gay
Not a single cloud in the sky.
And there’s a welcoming breeze
Humming birds dart and dance in the air
Like they have an audience to please
All the flowers so dainty and fair
Effortlessly attract the eye.
Once this was my summer.
A thing that just goes by.
Kind of like trucks, cars and the hummer.
Like fashion, seasons come then fade away.
Each one unique and special.
Yet they’re never here to stay.
